Our
Passion Continues to Drive the Design,
& Our Design
Continues to Drive the Passion.
Our
interiors group was never strategically planned to be
the business it is today. But there was once a dream
some 15 years ago. A dream that started with one individual
+ the support of a very small group of dedicated interior
design clients who were underserved + inadequately serviced,
primarly in the South Florida "second home" resort
residential marketplace.
Today,
that interior design business has grown + continued to
unfold in remarkable ways. Founded by our leader, Michael
A. Thomas, FASID, CAPS, the Design Collective Group
Inc. started as a small interiors practice in an even
smaller suite in Jupiter, Florida. The only thing unique
+ special about the business was Michael's passion for
all things effectively designed, well organized + methodically
implemented.
It
is Michael's passion that continues to drive the design
direction of The Design Collective Group, Inc. even today.
And Today...Design Still
Drives The Core Of The Business
During
the next dozen years, Michael continued to grow the business
adding design-oriented components under the DCG corporate
umbrella. First came the Artefacts Collection, a retail
showroom of individually selected furnishings, acccesories,
art + antiquities to assist complete Michael's interiors
that often featured his signature "Pacific-Rim" design
style, a style the press once reported as "showcasing
unique accents from Africa to Asia in a tasteful, classic
American transitional, tropical style."
Next
came The Cabinet Collective. With the interiors practice
growing to include the full renovation + remodling of residential
properties, adding cabinetry + storage solutions for the
kitchen + bath was the next + natural step. By providing
Clients with both custom + semi-custom cabinets, the Design
Collective grew to be a "one-stop" showroom,
including a design expo of counters, hardware and tiles.
Our latest addition
to the DCG umbrella is The Design Experience, a multi-facted
collection of unique products for home + workplaces. Searching
the many building and design trade shows top and bottom Michael
+ his staff attend every year, they focus their attention
on building relationships with vendors offering high style
design, new technology + innovative design solutions. |
